Blu Dot Plans Relocation in Otsego
The Minneapolis-based furniture maker Blu Dot is working with Endeavor Development on plans to relocate to a 744,000 square foot warehouse across the street from their existing location in Otsego. The modern-furniture maker went through a previous expansion about 5 years ago but once again needs a larger space for current and future operations according to Otsego City Planer D. Daniel Licht.
Otsego's Planning Commission approved plans for the first phase which includes the construction of a 401,544 square foot warehouse. The second phase will be submitted later and would add 343,200 square feet to the building. At the completion of the second phase of expansion, Blu Dot plans to employ 125 full-time employees.
“Pending City Council approval, work will likely start this spring on the first phase, said Josh Budish, founder and principal of Endeavor Development.”
